HabiCAT Cat Hammock Product Concept

This project was done by design student Cori Steele at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. it is an efficient and simple design concept. The hammock frame is made of bent plywood and the sling is a piece of fleece fabric that threads through holes in the frame and secures with four knots. Simply untie the knots and throw the fabric in the wash, then easily tie it back onto the frame.

The project is also designed to produce minimal waste by creating a secondary product, like a scratcher or a raised feeder, with the scrap material.
